IKO System

The IKO System is a model of interpreting social relationships for specific business activities. The model is based on the principles of Business Networking and the Six Degrees of Separation. The model consists in applying artificial intelligence on social relationships' data to map market activities and predict business events.

The first implementation of the IKO System's model uses social networks’ data (Facebook, LinkedIn and Viadeo) to leverage one-to-one relationships for B2B sales activities. This implementation addresses the Sales Intelligence issue and is conducted since 2009 by joint researchers and private companies in Italy, France and United Kingdom.
This project has been awarded by Scientipole Initiative[1] (a public body for evaluating research projects) and received public funding in 2011.

Other implementations of the IKO System model are currently under development by the Aix-Marseille Academy to leverage social relationships in the corporate financial sector and for recruitment activities.[2]
